V.1. What is a share?
A share is a security that is officially issued by a joint-stock company to attract profits for business expansion. Shares must be registered on the Moscow Stock Exchange according to the legislation.
In theory, if a company shows annually high EBITDA values (“ebitda” or “dirty profit”), then the price of such shares will continuously grow. To check, see the growth charts of American companies from 1995 to 2022 – growth by hyperbole!
If a company is experiencing temporary difficulties, one of the options for correcting its affairs may be the sale of its own shares.
